The second phase of the HCG diet meal plan can be from day 3 until day 21, or until day 42, depending on how much weight you have to lose. Even if you reach your weight goal before the 21st day, you have to continue the diet until you reach day 21. This is the phase which requires you to start a 500-750 kcal per day intake.
This phase of the plan?tells you to have for lunch/dinner 100 grams of meat: chicken (only breast), veal, beef, white fish, shellfish (lobster, crab, shrimp) and 1 serving of spinach, green salad, cucumbers, onion, asparagus, cabbage, red radishes, beet-greens, celery, fennel, chard, chicory, tomatoes.
This diet plan also allows you to have at your lunch and dinner, beside the 100 grams of meat and 1 serving of vegetable, 1 fruit: apple, orange, half of grapefruit or a handful of strawberries (choose only one of these fruits) and also add either one breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast.
The last phase of the HCG diet meal plan takes place after the 21st or 42nd day, when you stop taking the supplement. Now you have to eat with moderation, and gradually try to come back to a normal daily caloric intake. Do it slowly and with healthy foods.
The HCG diet meal plan requires a large quantity of plain water to be drank. You can have tea and coffee (sweeten with Stevia if you can’t go without anything sweet). Seasonings allowed: salt, pepper, mustard powder, parsley, garlic, basil, thyme, vinegar and marjoram.
